DECEMBER 2004

In case you didn't know, there's a brilliant exclusive TransformerCon Dinobot cover of the Dreamwave Ongoing #1, based on the Dino's jumping from the shuttle in TF The Movie. You can buy it here from Auto Assembly, and at the same time help support the upcoming AA con.

--------

Oops, completely forgot I had a web site. I've done loads of comics for MLG and other things, I just haven't inked them or done them in Flash.

OCTOBER 2004

The legendary Radio 1 DJ John Peel died of a heart attack on Tues 26th while on a working holiday in the city of Cuzco in Peru with his wife Sheila.  Many a late night have I spent up late working on Me Love Grimlock or some other thing, listening to the unique and sometimes weird music John Peel would scour the world for, and now I fear, with the passing of the man, will go the genre of music he built up at Radio 1.  Visit this the BBC news page for information, and this Radio 1 page for further details and how to pay your respects.

Grimlock sad now... :-(

--------

New comics are up, using a completely different style of putting images into Flash.

AUGUST 2004

I recently attended the Transforce 2004 convention, see Grimlocks review of the days events here.  If you see any spelling mistakes, well.. nurr.  I ain't fixin it.

--------

Do you have any Dinobot firgures your willing to sell or trade? Do you have any Dinobot Decoys (little rubber things), I'm seeking a cream Snarl or any Red Dinobot.

--------

Well, you can stop voting now, and who the heck nominated me for Fan Of The Year?? I hardly do anything! Anyway, among my acquisitions were a boxed G2 Grimlock, Heroes Of Cybertron Grimlock, a 2nd Pretender Grimlock (I needed a replacement head) & a knock off Orange 1 that intend to paint. Plus some rare TF 'Decoys', little cream coloured rubber TFs from 1986. But I'm missing the Snarl 1. If anybody has 1, I'll gladly swap or buy it from you.

--------

VOTE FOR MLG at the Transforce awards!!  Here's your chance to get MLG voted for next to the big TF sites at this months TF UK convention.  Go to the voting page here or just Email Paul Cannon at paul@transforce.org.uk (organiser) simply telling him you want to nominate the URL www.melovegrimlock.com for 'Website of the year (UK hosted)'. Every vote received for MLG will result in 5% more love from me to all my fans!! :-)

--------

Going to Transforce in London? Visit my TFnet profile, see what I look like & say hello on the day.  Presents & offerings are also welcome.

--------

Grimlock fans shout "Hurrah", Grimlock is one of the next Alternators, may come in grey (as apposed to the white'ish Japanese Binaltech version) & come with a G1 influenced sword & a rather pathetic looking gun.  View all the test shots & shit here.

JULY 2004

Those of you who have been wondering where I've been, well it's a combination of my PC getting wiped (considering I know allot about PC's, that's quite a cock up) and worrying about my future career. All those people producing 3 strips a week will learn, once they have a job & a life to juggle.

ARTISTS WANTED: If you are an artist if any type with no outlet for your talent, consider becoming a contributor to MLG. "Free girlfriend with every application"
Disclaimer: Free girlfriend offer does not exist

JUNE 2004

Yayy, I've finally got Broadband, that means absolutely nothing to you, but Yayyy!

MAY 2004

At the moment I'm currently thrashing the hell out of the current Slipknot track Duality (yes I know, I'm not 14 or wear a black hoodie) & working on my own personal portfolio Flash site.

--------

Well I've now been up for about 22 hours after traveling the country to get to Auto Assembly in Birmingham & back on Saterday. I had a good time and bought alot of stuff, but the dealers room being 7 floors above the main room meant much of the time the excellent Guests (including the very entertaining Wally Wingert) were playing to a sparse audience.  I bought some great stuff including a MyClone and Pretender Grimlock (which turned out to be broken grr) & some random crap I have no idea why I got.

The best news is my exclusive SD Sideburn framed print signed by Wally went for £18 in the auction. My friend Jamie offered to bid if no one else did... but Wally said how much he liked it and the hands just shot up! Thanks to the mysterious person in black who won...

APRIL 2004

I'm currently doing artwork for the Auto Assembly UK convention magasine, if you're there, you may get one of my arts cards, which are randomly given out with the mags.  The new strip I'm working on will be up on the site at the same time as the convention, so it doesn't spoil the surprize for those attending.  I am putting up lots of sketch's in the Artwork section, including a strip with Prime and 2 short Stargate strips I've done, I will also be displaying many of my unused sketches and drawings for you to peruse.

MARCH 2004

The Dinobot Hunt paperback is now out in the UK, at last, no more need for the stupid overpriced hardback, £20 indeed... pff.  Get the paperback on Amazon or in your local bookstore for about £9.99.

--------

I'm currently in talks with someone about doing Flash animations for the site, plus I'm working on my convention comic artwork.

--------

2 updates.
1: MLG may be offline temporarily for a few hours when I switch servers March 10.
2: Looks like I'm doing some artwork for upcoming UK convention Auto Assembly, a few pages of comic strips, some free cards for guest to autograph and maybe a poster of Superdeformed RiD Sideburn to auction, as voice actor Wally Wingert (Sideburn/Mirage) is attending. Booking form here.

JANUARY 2004

If you know who the UK band 'The Vaults' are, go to MTV2 NME Chart, log in (make up any old crap) and vote for this very, very good band. They topped Radio 1s Unsigned list & have done regular spots with John Peel. People just need a preverbal slap round the face and regular slots on MTV to get the ball rolling faster. I nearly had the chance to do their website for them, oh well.

--------

Pre-loaders & voting forms are now operational, so you can now leave comments on each strip. Any feedback on MLG is appreciated, I like to hear from you.
Anyone wanting to link to me Go Ahead! Me needy more linking! Suggesting cool sites to me is also appreciated.

--------

I received the 'A' cover of the Transformers: Universe comic Issue #1 today. Anyone who's received their 'B' cover, drop me a line cos I haven't. In a post on the OTFCC forum, A staff member said it was a 2000 limited run, so if you haven't ordered ANY yet, hurry & get the rest here.

--------

Click Here to view a very good looking customised 'Prowl' version of Alternator Smokescreen. Here is the main site.

--------

As I type I'm watching the start of the Superbowl, and was rather astonished to hear 1 of the players describe their team as the 'World Champions'. Which, considering no 1 really plays the game outside of the United States, was quite a statement!  I hope the Blue guys win!! ;-)

--------

Click here for to see a site form a guy who makes real life Transformable costumes, including TF & Gundam. They're very good.

--------

I've just checked my site stats and apparently 0.8% of my visitors are from Belgium, what surprised me more was the fact that over twice as many Yugoslavians come here.  2.9 % come from 'Unknown' and 5.5 % from 'The Rest', where-ever the hell that is.  Anyway, whether you speak Yugoslav or, um.. Belgianese, Welcome!!

I'm also planning on putting up a comments form for each strip, so you can let me know your opinions.

--------

Have a look here for a very funny comic joke about spam.

--------

Happy New Year etc, etc..  I have a new comic up that you probably won't get.  It was a competition entry for Mr Optimus Prime, that US military fire crew guy who legally changed his name. I knew it didn't stand a chance of winning, as I don't 'do' the whole 'slaving over a picture for weeks' thing but it turned out pretty good seeing as I did a full colour strip in 3 days flat, 6 hours before the deadline was up. Click here to see it.

NOVEMBER 2003

Head over to The Allspark and check out the trailer of the fan-dub of the Japanese Headmasters. I thought it was all a bit dodgy, right up until the point that Grimlock speaks, ha ha ha, makes it all work it.  How the Japanese animators saw fit for him to speak with his mouth pryed open is beyond me.

--------

Click here to get what is quite possibly the best remix ever created on Gods Earth, Ray Parker Jnr vs Reel 2 Reel - Reel Ghosts, or as I think it was menna be called I Like To Move It Vs Ghostbusters.

--------

Well, I'm out of a job. Which means lots of lay ins and more time to do some art, um stuff. I decided not to do the Allspark competition, and instead concentrate on competitions that give me prizes in return.  I'm hopefully gonna do a RiD Prime art contest thing for that guy who changed his name to Optimus Prime, mind you, I'm gonna go with a good idea and some comedy, rather than spending 2 months slaving over a masterpiece that probably won't win anyway.

--------

I'm going to be doing some art for my personal profile at TFNet, maybe a competition for The Allspark and a special dino-quiz you mite all be interested in. I'm gonna try to get someone to ink a non-transformer strip that I've which I'll display in the Artwork section (haven't updated that in a while).

OCTOBER 2003

Matt Nelson has decided to call it a day a pack up Superdeformers after he finishes the current running storyline. As it was Superdeformers that inspired my site (or more appropriately the 'Snarls Absence' strip) I was quite surprised & feel it is quite a shame. Click here for the new on his forum.

Read this interesting article on which Transformers survived the whole of the original comic continuity here.

:: How Jedi Are You? ::

--------

Andrew Wildman, original TF comicbook artist is (if you did't know) doing the 2nd Dreamwave War Within: The Dark Ages. His art has come on along way since then (plus he a has a whole month rather than a week to produce these ones, inkers, colourists & a troupe of artistically talented monkeys) Dispite being very similar to most of the Dreamwave TF art (I blame the monkeys), it looks as though he's right up there with the regular guys. Also more TF history is being made up on the spot, but seeing as it's Simon Furman doing it, I don't think many people will mind. I'd hate to work for Hasbro right now, the foundations for their most popular TF 'stuff' is being layed by someone else (huhh huhh, you said 'layed').

SEPTEMBER 2003

I just read an interesting article on Seibertron showing how Dreamwaves Pat Lees artwork is somewhat similar to certain images from the old Japanese Bon-Bon comic book. Don't believe me, look at Grimlock. (mmmuch better looking than the UK/US comics) Looky

--------

www.thetransformers.net reported that a G1 toy Grimlock including some of his instructions, was used as part of the London Natural History Museums Dinosaur exhibit. Wahay!

--------

How cool is the Armada Blurr toy? THAT f**king cool, that's how. I couldn't resist the car mode, although I used think the robot mode was a bit crap... ooh me wrong. I also got me a 'single portion' prime, without the sucky trailer. Optimus Prime's menna be bigger than this!!
